Frequently asked questions
How do you find my publications?
You enter your name and affiliations. We search all of PubMed for your work and give every match a confidence score; you confirm the ones that are yours in one click. From then on, new publications are found automatically as PubMed indexes them.
What if another researcher has the same name as me?
That is what the confidence score is for: a match on name alone scores lower than one corroborated by your affiliations. You review the matches and confirm the ones that are yours, and anything you reject stays off your list.
Does it work outside biomedicine?
Publications come from PubMed, so MyResearchFocus covers the biomedical and life-science literature PubMed indexes. Grant tracking covers NIH awards, from NIH RePORTER.
Can I export my publications for a CV or biosketch?
Yes. Export your list as a formatted Word document — in NIH format or another common citation style — or as a CSV or Excel file. For an NIH biosketch, which is prepared in SciENcv, download your confirmed publications as a file for NCBI My Bibliography; once uploaded there, SciENcv lists them when you choose your products.
Does it track my NIH grants?
Yes. If you have NIH grants, they are kept current automatically from NIH RePORTER — project numbers, budgets and dates included.
